No Bake Bread Lasagna


  • 2-3 packs loaf bread
  • 1 kg sweet style spaghetti sauce
  • 1 kg ground beef
  • 1 large size onion, minced
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce

For the Béchamel sauce:

  • 5 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp all purpose flour
  • 820ml evaporated milk
  • 165g cheese, grated
  • 1 tsp chicken liquid seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg powder


  1. Cut the crusts of the bread
  2. Flatten the bread
  3. Red sauce: Saute garlic and onion
  4. Add ground beef. Season with salt and pepper
  5. Cook and brown the ground beef
  6. Add spaghetti sauce, dried basil, dried oregano and oyster sauce.
  7. Simmer for 5min.
  8. Turn the heat off and set aside
  9. Béchamel: In a pan melt butter
  10. Add all purpose flour mix well and cook over low heat for 5-6min.
  11. Add evaporated milk
  12. Add grated cheese when milk is almost boiling
  13. Cook over low heat until thickened
  14. Add nutmeg powder and chicken liquid seasoning
  15. Assemble: Spread a thin layer of red sauce at the bottom of the dish
  16. Add a layer of bread
  17. Add a another layer of red sauce
  18. Spread a thin layer of béchamel
  19. Repeat steps for the next layers
  20. Sprinkle dried basil on top
  21. Chill until it sets up
