  • 500 g chicken breast fillet cut into 2x2in lengths
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 2 cups cooking oil
  • 1/2 cup catsup for dipping

For the Breading:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 2 pcs eggs beaten
  • 1 1/2 cup Japanese breadcrumbs


  • Season chicken with salt and pepper then set aside for 30 minutes.
  • Prepare 3 containers that will hold the flour, beaten eggs, breadcrumbs separately.
  • Start to coat the chicken by dipping it in the flour, then in the egg, and then in the breadcrumbs. Do the same for the remaining chicken.
  • Heat the cooking oil in a deep pan.
  • Carefully drop the chicken one at a time, and fry until golden brown, about 3 to 5 minutes per piece.
  • Serve with catsup or dipping sauce of choice.
