Adobong Tofu and Sitaw


  • 3 pcs extra firm tofu, fried until medium brown
  • 15 pcs sitaw, cut into 2 ½ inch length
  • 1 medium yellow onion, sliced
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 5 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 3 tbsp cooking oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste


  1. Start by slicing the fried tofu into squares then set aside.
  2. Heat the cooking oil in a pan then saute garlic and onion until the onion is soft.
  3. Add in the sliced tofu then add soy sauce and water. Let boil.
  4. Pour-in the vinegar. Let it reboil.
  5. Add in the sitaw. Stir and cover then simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Transfer to a serving bowl, enjoy!
